Aspiring CIOs take note: City University London have launched a Masters course for future Chief Information Officers in the library and information services sectors.

According to the university, the Masters course in Information Leadership (MIL) is intended to bridge the gap that exists between traditional MBA and IT Masters offerings.

Aimed at mid-career professionals with at least three to five years of experience in business-facing IT management or consultancy roles, the course includes modules such as Strategy and Governance, Information Security and Risk and Information Law and Compliance.

The part-time course will begin in September 2010, and will be taught one weekend each month over two years.
